I haven't tried it yet, but I've seen it! I think it's definitely going in the right direction. The team at CommonRoom definitely "gets it." Excited to see where they continue to take things!
I dig it, B ... what you're talking about is contextualizing the signals. In today's world, things are pretty linear, as you describe. Get a signal, send a message. But there are so many other factors at play that we now can incorporate to get the rep more context so they can more acutely customize their messages. Eventually, tech will do all of this (sooner rather than later) because I always say prospecting is about timing and relevance. Humans, with all of the activity they have to do, can't manage to stay on top of the timing, and it's just as hard to stay relevant!
Another way to describe "contextualizing" would be "reasoning." Which... LLMs are getting *quite* good at these days :) So, I think we'll soon see tools (powered by AI) that can help do this. Going to be a wild couple of years in GTM!
I know of people doing this with their own systems and it’s a sight to behold. Takes a lot of engineering and know it all to get it working.
I’ve been played around with it too with medium levels of success to this point.
Some unforeseen challenges:
- Cleanliness of data: whether being used via CRM or DW, ensuring uniformity and accuracy of data is key. Can’t tell you how different a result can be by changing just a single word.
- Guiding the reaction: Giving the data inputs isn’t hard; having the LLM react in the way you want is. This is the current challenge I’m trying to overcome.
- Prioritisation of Signal: With so many signals coming in, you have the desire to use them all to really stand out. Question is; how do you make sure the truly powerful ones leads the conversation and are supplemented by the secondary and tertiary signals.
The current solutions can be hacked together, but really hard to solve for the challenges you call out. I can't wait to see what systems/tools are built in the coming years. Going to be a golden age in technology.
I think Roomie AI from Common Room pretty much cover 1-4 already? Have you tried it B?

Spot on, Doug! Very well said.

Awesome post.

EXACTLY right, Eamon.
Love it.
