Last week was an absolute doozy 😵💫
> anthropic and openai filed to go public
> spacex went public in the biggest ipo in history
> apple shipped what siri should have been 10 years ago
> anthropic finally dropped mythos (fable 5)
> then the government shut it down
> something big about basketball (i don’t really know)
> world cup kicked off
> new zelda and GTA 6 (apparently a big deal?)
> social network sequel trailer came out
Let’s see if this week can top that.
In other news, last Wednesday, we held the “Anonymous GTM Tech Demo Day.” Almost 300 people joined us live (700 registered). I spent the last few days building out this post as a resource for anyone who wasn’t with us live to skim over the 22 startups* featured.
*Important note: all of these companies are “startups” (where lots of innovation is happening) defined as having less than $5M ARR and less than $50M in funding.
Final things worth noting:
Format: Live, 3-minute demos from real customers, not the founder.
None of these companies paid to participate.
These are some of the coolest startups building at the bleeding edge of GTM & AI.
Full Playlist (YouTube) of the 22 demos (this was a marathon!).
If you end up taking a demo of any of them, let them know you found them on The Signal! (I don’t get a referral bonus, just want to share the love!).

You’re not drowning in a bunch of filters anymore. You just talk to their agent about who you want to go after.

My favorite quote from their demo:
Knowing that an account visited our website and what pages they went to doesn’t tell us why we should be reaching out.

Other portals of the web I explored last week:
The AI paradox: More automation, more humans, more work (Dan Shipper on Lenny’s podcast) ← if there’s one piece of content you consume, it’s this one (summary of 10 things from the pod)
A few observations from deep in the trenches of GTM AI land over the last couple months by Nikko Georgantonis, Head of GTM AI & Systems at Hightough
Davide Grieco, Head of Growth at Clay said, “I’m here to tell you your tech stack doesn’t matter. The entire GTM world is obsessing over AI agents and workflows. Meanwhile, the best marketers are doing the opposite.” Spicy (and 4k likes, so clearly hit a nerve).
The AI-native GTM playbook is not “replace everyone with agents.” Great conversation with Replit’s CRO on Kyle Norton’s podcast.
Avoiding Death on the Yellow Brick Road (Why The App Layer Isn’t Dead)
On Grindslop (Notes on founder hagiography and aristocratic virtue) by the goat, Will Manidis
The Simple Genius of Rick Rubin I can’t get enough David Senra or Rick Rubin these days (so this collab was a dream come true for me).
Someone built an app that monetizes the wait time on LLMs lol genius
I’m still thinking about this one…
That’s it for today.
Have a great week, GTM nerds.
Thank you for your attention and trust. I do not take it for granted.
See you next time,
Brendan 🫡
